The Creatist Blog
is a growing community of creatives, artists, entrepreneurs, travelers, and anyone else who defies boundaries, breaks the rules, and lives the unconventional life.
This blog is for the people who:
- think outside the box (or want to learn how)
- challenge traditional thinking to live a life unbound
- want to learn specific skills and tactics that can be used today to increase your quality of life
The Blog focuses on five core categories: Life, Work, Health and Fitness, Travel, and Photography/Cinematography.
The Life category consists of many topics, but they are all important ingredients towards helping you live a richer, more satisfying life. A life controlled by you. We will cover actionable tactics and tips such as daily practices, overcoming specific challenges, practical philosophy, and much more!
In the Work section we will focus on actions and attitudes for a winning career as a creative, wether you’re a hustling entrepreneur breaking away from the monotonous nine-to-five, an artist trying to get noticed in a world full of other creatives trying to do the same, or a go-getter trying to rise through the ranks of a company you believe in. This section isn’t just about your career however, it also about the importance of art and having a creative passion in your life. Specific topics include negotiating tactics, growing your audience, finding your own creative vision, and “making it” as an artist today, plus a heck of a lot more.
Health and Fitness may just be the most over-looked, yet absolutely crucial piece to living a more prosperous life. It is very easy to throw your health in the backseat when working towards a vision. Don’t forget that the ultimate vision is to live a better life full of freedom and to do that you must take of your body and mind. From exercise routines to healthy recipes to correcting sleep and even meditating, in the Health and Fitness section I want to help you feel and be better than you ever have before.
Travel can be anything from a year long round the world trip to a road trip to your nearest national park. Exploring and wandering are vital parts to letting our minds become free and learning more about the world around us. While not everyone needs to be a vagabond, getting away from the routines of our everyday life and putting ourselves in new and sometimes even uncomfortable situations can have the greatest impact on our lives. Here I will share my own travel journal along with travel-hacking tips to help you travel more, how to travel safely and efficiently, and how to get the most out of your time away from home.
I love many things in this life, but my passion is the visual arts. I have spent countless hours practicing and studying it on my own, while you might say I am “self-taught” truth is I would be no where without the thousands of blogs posts and youtube tutorials I’ve been through to get to where I am today. Maybe that is why I feel so inclined to give back to the art community and share what I’ve learned in my own way in this Photography/Cinematography section of my blog. From tutorials to thoughts on the industry, creative inspiration, and gear tips, I’ll share everything I know and everything I continue to learn so we can grow together as artists.
As creatives, artists, entrepreneurs, and freelancers we face many challenges. Through my blog and my work my goal is to help you overcome these challenges by sharing what I’ve learned and what I am still learning to help you become the person you want to be and to live the life you want to live. I can’t do everything though, when it comes to your own dreams it is up to you to do whatever it takes to make them happen. It is going to be painful, there will be plenty of sacrifices made along the way, and while I am here to help and make the process a little more straight forward, I can’t do the work for you. Through social media and the world wide web I am building a community of content creators that are busy taking action and conquering their dreams, if you’re ready to take the first step towards your ultimate vision, then join the Creatist Army and get outside and start creating!
